Electronic body music (EBM) or industrial dance is a music genre that combines elements of industrial music and electronic dance music. It first came to prominence in Belgium.

Electronic Body Music, kurz EBM, seltener auch Aggrepo (Aggressive Popmusik), ist ein in den frühen 1980er-Jahren entstandener Musikstil, der sich durch repetitive Sequenzerläufe, vorwiegend tanzbetonte Rhythmen sowie klare, parolen-ähnliche Shouts (Rufgesang) kennzeichnet. Er gilt als zufallsbedingte Konfluenz britischen Industrial- und paneuropäischen Minimal-Electro-Sounds und nahm bedeutenden Einfluss auf die Entwicklung nachfolgender Stile wie New Beat oder Goa Trance.

L'Electronic Body Music (EBM) est un genre de musique électronique, sous-genre de la musique industrielle   apparentée au mouvement et à la scène New Wave. Les influences premières du genre vont de la musique industrielle particulièrement bruitiste des débuts (Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV, Esplendor Geométrico) jusqu'à la scène Radical Dance (Portion Control, 400 Blows) en passant par la Synthpop (DAF, Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, The Human League, New Order, Pet Shop Boys, OMD) et la cold wave (Joy Division, The Cure).

Electronic body music (förkortat EBM, ibland bara body) är en musikgenre som uppstod i början av 1980-talet med influenser av brittisk industrial. Många av de största banden i genren har legat på skivbolagen Play It Again Sam (PIAS) och Antler-Subway Records i Belgien, och licensierades i USA på Wax Trax! Records.

Electronic body music (w skrócie EBM) jest to gatunek muzyczny, który łączy w sobie elementy industrial i electronic punk music. Powstał we wczesnych latach osiemdziesiątych. Na gatunek ten początkowo wpływała muzyka industrialna (Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire) i europejska electropunk (DAF, Liaisons Dangereuses, Portion Control) i czysto elektroniczna muzyka elektroniczna (Kraftwerk).
