Electrical conduction

Conduction is the movement of electrically charged particles through a transmission medium (electrical conductor). The movement can form an electric current in response to an electric field. The underlying mechanism for this movement depends on the material.Conduction in metals and resistors is well described by Ohm's Law, which states that the current is proportional to the applied electric field. The ease with which current density (current per unit area) j appears in a material is measured by the conductivity σ, defined as:j = σ Eor its reciprocal resistivity ρ:j = E / ρ

Przewodnictwo elektryczne - to zjawisko skierowanego przenoszenia ładunków elektrycznych przez dodatnie lub ujemne nośniki prądu (np. elektrony, jony) w ośrodku pod wpływem przyłożonego zewnętrznego pola elektrycznego. Elektrische geleiding is het transport van elektrische lading, in het algemeen gedragen door ladingen. In metalen zijn deze ladingen de elektronen, in zoutoplossingen de gedissocieerde ionen. Bij metalen is deze eigenschap het gevolg van de losse binding van de buitenste elektronenschil zodat in de praktijk de metaal atomen ingebed zijn in een gemeenschappelijke elektronenwolk.
