Edinburgh
Edinburgh ( pronounced ; ) is the capital of Scotland and its second largest city, after Glasgow, which is 45 miles away to the west.It is in the south-east of Scotland, on the east coast of Scotland's Central Belt, on the south shore of the Firth of Forth, on the North Sea and, because of its rugged setting and vast collection of Medieval and Georgian architecture including numerous stone tenements, it is often considered one of the most dramatic cities in Europe.

Edinburgh Football League
The Edinburgh Football League was formed in 1894 in Scotland as one of several 'supplementary' football leagues that were created in order to increase the number of fixtures for Scottish Football League clubs. It changed its name to the East of Scotland Football League in 1896 when Dundee joined.In 1899 some of its clubs also entered the Inter City League along with former Glasgow League clubs. The East of Scotland League eventually disbanded in 1906 and has no connection to the present day East of Scotland Football League.

Édimbourg (Edinburgh en anglais, Dùn Èideann en gaélique, Edinburrie en scots, Aneda en latin) est une ville de la côte est de l’Écosse, et sa capitale depuis 1437. Elle est le siège du Parlement écossais, qui a été rétabli en 1999. Sa population était de habitants en 2005 (c’est la deuxième ville d’Écosse derrière Glasgow). Depuis 1329, Édimbourg possède officiellement le statut de cité.

Edinburgh (; schottisch-gälisch: Dùn Èideann (; deutsch: Edinburg) ist seit 1437 (Ermordung Jakob I., bis dahin Perth) die Hauptstadt Schottlands im Vereinigten Königreich Großbritannien und Nordirland. Seit 1999 ist sie außerdem Sitz des schottischen Parlaments. Oberbürgermeister ist der Liberaldemokrat und evangelisch-reformierte Pfarrer i.R. George Grubb.

Edynburg (ang. Edinburgh (wymawiane ['ɛdɪnˌbərə]), gael. Dùn Éideann) - miasto w Wielkiej Brytanii; od 1437 roku stolica Szkocji i siedziba szkockiego parlamentu, którego obrady wznowiono w 1999 roku po przerwie trwającej od zjednoczenia z Anglią w roku 1707. Od 1583 miasto uniwersyteckie. Obecnie znajdują się tam cztery uniwersytety - University of Edinburgh, Heriot-Watt University, Napier University i Queen Margaret University. W 2001 roku miasto miało 448.624 mieszkańców. W przeszłości nazywane również "Starym Kopciuchem" (sc. Auld Reekie).

Edimburgo
Edimburgo (in inglese Edinburgh, in gaelico scozzese Dùn Éideann) è una città (463.000 abitanti) del Regno Unitocapitale della Scozia dal 1437 e sede del Parlamento dal 1999.La città è situata sulla costa orientale della Scozia e sulla riva meridionale del Firth of Forth,a circa 70 km ad est di Glasgow. La città sorge su di una serie di colline e a chiunque la veda per la prima volta appare talmente bella che si è guadagnata nel tempo l'appellativo di "Atene del nord".Le parti storiche della città (Old e New Towns) nel 1995 sono state dichiarate Patrimonio dell'umanità dall'UNESCO. Dopo Londra la capitale scozzese è la città più visitata della Gran Bretagna con circa 2 milioni di visitatori l'anno e a questo successo contribuisce anche in parte il Festival di Edimburgo che si tiene ogni anno e che è accompagnato da numerose manifestazioni collaterali.
