Echion

In Greek mythology, the name Echion referred to five different beings.One of the GigantesOne of the Spartes, the father of Pentheus, see SpartesOne of the Argonauts, son of HermesOne of the suitors of PenelopeOne of the Greeks who fought at the Trojan War. Son of Portheus, he was one of the men hidden in the Trojan horse, and he was killed whilst jumping from it.

Echion war in der griechischen Mythologie einer der fünf Sparten (aus „gesäten“ Drachenzähnen entstandenen Männer), die von der Drachensaat Kadmos übrig blieben. Mit seiner Frau Agaue zeugte er Pentheus. Auch war er einer der vierzig (?) Menschen, welche sich im Trojanischem Pferd versteckten. Er starb jedoch, als er aus dem Pferd sprang.
