Ebolowa is the capital of Cameroon's South Province. It has a population of 79,500 (2001 estimate). It is a colonial town and a notable agricultural centre. The main crop is cocoa. Ebolowa est le chef-lieu de la province du sud et du département du Mvila au Cameroun. L'ethnie principale y demeurant est le Bulu (se prononcant Boulou). Outre la langue principale qui est le Bulu, forme régionale des langues Béti-Bantou, on y parle surtout couramment le français. Ebolowa est remarqué dans le pays pour son Collège privé : le Collège Unis d'Élat. La production cacaoyère et l'industrie forestière dominent le secteur.
