The Eastern Ghats or Eastern Ghauts (, Tūrpu Kanumalu,, Pūrbaghāṭa Parbatamāḷā, , Pūrva Ghaṭṭa, Kiḻakkut Toṭarcci Malaikaḷ) are a discontinuous range of mountains along India's eastern coast. The Eastern Ghats run from West Bengal state in the north, through Orissa and Andhra Pradesh to Tamil Nadu in the south passing some parts of Karnataka. They are eroded and cut through by the four major rivers of southern India, the Godavari, Mahanadi, Krishna, and Kaveri. The mountain ranges run parallel to the Bay of Bengal. The Deccan Plateau lies to the west of the range, between the Eastern Ghats and Western Ghats. The coastal plains lies between the Eastern Ghats and the Bay of Bengal. The Eastern Ghats are not as high as the Western Ghats. As with the Western Ghats, these mountain ranges also have their local names, e.g. the Velikonda Range of Andhra Pradesh. Papi Hills in Andhra Pradesh are a part of Eastern Ghats.

Die Ostghats sind ein Gebirge der indischen Ostküste, das parallel zur Bucht von Bengalen verläuft, von der es durch die Koromandelküste getrennt ist. Es wird von den vier größeren Flüssen Godavari, Mahanadi, Krishna und Kaveri durchschnitten und damit in einzelne Berggruppen unterteilt. Das Gebirge verläuft von Westbengalen im Norden durch Orissa und Andhra Pradesh bis nach Tamil Nadu im Süden.

Les ghâts orientaux sont une chaîne discontinue des montagnes érodées, segmentée par le cours des quatre fleuves principaux de l'Inde méridionale, la Godâvarî, la Mahânadî, la Krishnâ, et la Kâverî qui prennent leur source dans les ghâts occidentaux. Les sommets y sont moins élevés que dans la chaîne des ghâts occidentaux avec une altitude moyenne de 700 m à peine, mais culminent cependant à 1300 m en Orissa. Ils y sont principalement composés de basaltes noirs.

Ghaty Wschodnie (Pūrva Ghāt, Eastern Ghats) są to góry krawędziowe w Indiach. Położone wzdłuż wybrzeża Zatoki Bengalskiej. Ograniczają od wschodu wyżynę Dekan. Rozdzielone są szerokimi dolinami rzek (Godawari, Kryszna, Kaweri) na szerg pasm górskich. Największe wysokości dochodzą do 1680 m. Zbudowane są ze skał metamorficznych - głównie gnejsów. Porastają je resztki lasów monsunowych z drzewem tokowym i sandałowym. Znajduje się tam wiele plantacji kawy.

Itä-Ghatit on katkonainen vuoristo, joka seurailee Bengalinlahden rannikkoa Intiassa. Se ulottuu pohjoisesta Länsi-Bengalista aina Tamil Naduun etelässä, missä se tulee lähelle Länsi-Ghatien eteläkärkeä. Vuoristojen väliin jää kolmiomainen Deccanin ylänkö.
