Earth is the third planet from the Sun and is the largest of the terrestrial planets in the Solar System, in both diameter and mass. It is also referred to as the Earth, Planet Earth, Gaia, Terra, and "the World".Home to millions of species including humans, Earth is the only place in the universe where life is known to have originated. Scientific evidence indicates that the planet formed 4.54 billion years ago, and life appeared on its surface within a billion years. Since then, Earth's biosphere has significantly altered the atmosphere and other abiotic conditions on the planet, enabling the proliferation of aerobic organisms as well as the formation of the ozone layer which, together with Earth's magnetic field, blocks harmful radiation, permitting life on land.

Earth ist eine amerikanische Doom-Metal-Band und gilt als Pionier einer minimalistischen, basslastigen und schlagzeuglosen Form des Dooms, auch bekannt als Drone Doom. Earth-Gründer Dylan Carlson ist darüber hinaus bekannt als enger Freund von Nirvana-Frontmann Kurt Cobain und ist in der Dokumentation Kurt & Courtney zu sehen, für welche auch zwei Lieder von Earth verwendet wurden. Angeblich besitzt Carlson auch die Schrotflinte, mit der sich Cobain das Leben nahm.

Die Erde (von indogermanisch *er[t] – lat.: „Terra“; gr.: „Gaja“) ist von der Sonne aus der dritte Planet im Sonnensystem. Sie ist etwa 4,6 Milliarden Jahre alt und ist der einzige bekannte belebte Himmelskörper. Nach den vorherrschenden chemischen Eigenschaften der Erde wird der Begriff der erdartigen (terrestrischen) oder auch erdähnlichen Planeten definiert.

Earth - amerykański zespół, prekursor gatunku drone metal nazywanego także drone doom.Utworzony na początku lat 90. XX wieku w mieście Olympia. Wkrótce zespół przeniósł się do Seattle. W studiu nagraniowym Smegma (Portland w stanie Oregon) odbyła się sesja nagraniowa, w której uczestniczył m.in. Kurt Cobain. Materiał ten wydany został przez wytwórnię Sub Pop pod tytułem Extra Capsular Extraction (EP).

Ziemia – (łac. Terra) trzecia w kolejności (licząc od Słońca) i piąta co do wielkości planeta Układu Słonecznego. Wokół Ziemi krąży jeden naturalny satelita – Księżyc oraz prawdopodobnie dwa księżyce pyłowe (księżyce Kordylewskiego) i znaczna liczba sztucznych satelitów. Stałą, stabilną orbitę posiada także planetoida 3753 Cruithne, która pozostając w rezonansie z orbitą Ziemi przez niektórych naukowców jest uważana za drugi księżyc Ziemi.

Ziemia, jednostka historycznego podziału terytorialnego w Polsce. W średniowiecznej Polsce ziemia była terytorialną jednostką administracyjną powstałą z księstwa, które włączone po okresie rozbicia dzielnicowego do Królestwa Polskiego utraciło odrębność polityczną, ale zachowało własną organizację urzędniczą. W XIV i XV w. większość ziem przekształciła się w województwa, niektóre jednak utrzymały dawną nazwę i własny sejmik.

La Terra è il pianeta su cui vive l'umanità, il terzo in ordine di distanza dal Sole, il più grande dei pianeti terrestri del sistema solare, sia per quanto riguarda la massa sia per il diametro, ed è l'unico corpo planetario del sistema solare adatto a sostenere la vita, almeno tra quelli conosciuti alla scienza moderna (anche se vi sono ipotesi e in alcuni casi anche deboli prove a sostegno della tesi per cui la vita, probabilmente in forma microscopica, sarebbe stata presente o potrebbe tuttora sussistere su alcuni corpi del sistema solare come Marte, Venere e alcuni satelliti naturali dei pianeti gassosi [1]).
