It is administered by the Network Information Center of Spain.Registrations are permitted at the second level or at the third level beneath various generic second level categories. Some qualifications and restrictions apply to third-level registrations depending on which second-level domain they are within. Second-level registrations have had some limitations including requiring registrants to have a connection with Spain, but these restrictions were lifted in a multi-stage process completed by the end of 2005, at which point registrations at the second level of .es were open to anybody worldwide.

Eurosinkut (abbreviated *es) is a free-form community for Finnish single people. It organises many kinds of activities all around Finland.Eurosinkut was founded in Helsinki in 1997. It is not an officially registered organisation, and does not have a specific governing board or structure. The community views its free form as a benefit: no bureaucracy, no government facilities, no annual meetings, no official protocol...Eurosinkut accepts all Finnish single people as its members, and becoming a member is as simple as filling in a form on the community web site. Membership is free of charge. The Eurosinkut mailing list currently has about 5000 addresses (as of November 2006). The age range is between 16 and 70 years, and there are members from all over Finland.

éS Footwear (pronounced like the letter s) is an American footwear brand started in 1995 by Pierre-André Senizergues of Sole Technology, Inc., which also licensed the etnies footwear brand (an has since purchased the brand outright), and also started a third shoe brand, Emerica a year later. éS was developed as a more technically oriented line compared to etnies and other brands at the time, in both aesthetic and function. Skateboard pro Sal Barbier, left etnies and joined éS to launch the brand and design shoes, and brought his popular Sal 23 model to éS as well.
