The European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company EADS N.V. (EADS) is a large European aerospace corporation, formed by the merger on July 10, 2000 of Aérospatiale-Matra of France, Construcciones Aeronáuticas SA (CASA) of Spain, and DaimlerChrysler Aerospace AG (DASA) of Germany. The company develops and markets civil and military aircraft, as well as missiles, space rockets, satellites, and related systems.

Die European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) ist ein europäischer Luft-, Raumfahrt- und Rüstungskonzern.Mit einem Umsatz von 39,4 Milliarden Euro (Stand 2006) ist EADS nach Boeing das zweitgrößte Luft- und Raumfahrtunternehmen der Welt. EADS beschäftigt an mehr als 70 Entwicklungs- und Produktionsstandorten in Europa und in 35 Außenbüros weltweit etwa 116.800 Mitarbeiter (Stand 2006).Seit der Gründung am 10. Juli 2000 werden Aktien der EADS an der Börse gehandelt. Der Konzern geht aus einer Fusion der deutschen DASA (DaimlerChrysler Aerospace AG), der französischen Aérospatiale-Matra und der spanischen CASA (Construcciones Aeronáuticas S.A.) hervor.
