The European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS N.V.) is Europe's premier aerospace and defence company. EADS comprises the activities of the founding partners Aerospatiale Matra S.A. (France), Construcciones Aeronáuticas S.A. (Spain) and DaimlerChrysler Aerospace AG (Germany). The new company celebrated Day One together with its listing at the Madrid, Munich and Paris stock exchanges on July 10, 2000. In terms of market share EADS is one of the top two manufacturers of commercial aircraft, civil helicopters, commercial space launchers and missiles. EADS is also a leading supplier of military aircraft, satellite and defence electronics.
