A dynastic union is the combination by which two different states are governed by the same dynasty, while their boundaries, their laws and their interests remain distinct. It differs from a personal union in that a personal union is under a monarch, but not under a dynasty.

Unia dynastyczna to związek dwóch lub więcej państw, w których panują przedstawiciele tej samej dynastii. Nie dotyczy to jednak państw posiadających wspólnego monarchy (tzw. unii personalnej).
