Dummy variables
A binary variable that is used to represent a categorical variable. The most common choices as dummy variables are 0 and 1. For each level of the variable 1 denotes having the feature and 0 denotes all other levels. Also called indicator variables. If an indicator variable is used, the regression coefficient gives the change per unit compared to the reference value.
