Director of Central Intelligence
The Office of United States Director of Central Intelligence (DCI) was the head of the United States Central Intelligence Agency, the principal intelligence advisor to the President and the National Security Council, and the coordinator of intelligence activities among and between the various United States intelligence agencies (collectively known as the Intelligence Community since 1981).

Dyrektor Centrali Wywiadu
Dyrektor Centrali Wywiadu - Director of Central Intelligence (DCI), szef Centralnej Agencji Wywiadowczej, a zarazem zwierzchnik wszystkich państwowych służb wywiadowczych Stanów Zjednoczonych.
Określenie DCI pierwszy raz pojawiło się w 1946 jako tytuł szefa utworzonej przez prezydenta Harry'ego Trumana Grupy Centrali Wywiadu (Central Intelligence Group - CIG), za pośrednictwem której Narodowy Zarząd Wywiadu (National Intelligence Authority - NIA) koordynować miał zadania amerykańskiego wywiadu zagranicznego. NIA i CIG zostały rozwiązane 20 września 1947, z chwilą powstania Centralnej Agencji Wywiadowczej - CIA, której szef miał pełnić zarazem funkcję dyrektora Centrali Wywiadu.
