Dimmu Borgir

For the geologic feature in Iceland, see Dimmuborgir. Dimmu Borgir (pronounced Dim-moo-bore-gear, ) is a symphonic extreme metal band from Norway. "Dimmu Borgir" literally means "Dark Castle" in archaic Icelandic ("Dark Cities" in modern usage). The name itself is derived from volcanic formations found in Iceland called Dimmuborgir.
