Diga

Una diga è uno sbarramento permanente su un corso d'acqua naturale che serve a creare un lago artificiale. A seconda dei materiali impiegati per la costruzione la diga può essere di calcestruzzo (o muratura), in terra, di pietrame o di materiale misto. Gli sbarramenti in calcestruzzo possono essere del tipo a gravità (anche alleggerita), ad arco o di tipologie miste (arco-gravità, volte multiple, ecc...).
