Die Welt

Die Welt ist eine deutsche überregionale Tageszeitung der Axel Springer AG. Von den Siegermächten des Zweiten Weltkriegs in der Britischen Besatzungszone in Hamburg gegründet, erschien sie erstmals am 2. April 1946 und wurde 1953 von Axel Springer übernommen. Das Blatt wird dem bürgerlich-konservativen Spektrum zugerechnet. Wirtschaftspolitisch ist sie deutlich marktliberal eingestellt. Die Welt beinhaltet tägliche Regionalausgaben in Berlin und Hamburg, 1997 bis 2002 auch in Bremen und 2002 kurzzeitig in Bayern. Die Zentralredaktion von Welt und Welt am Sonntag befindet sich in Berlin. Hier wird ebenfalls die Berliner Morgenpost erstellt.
