Dibutyl sebacate
Dibutyl sebacate (DBS) is an organic chemical, a dibutyl ester of sebacic acid. Its chemical formula is C18H34O4, or CH3(CH2)3O-CO-(CH2)8-CO-O-(CH2)3CH3. It is an oily colorless liquid with melting point of -10 °C and boiling point of 344-345 °C, insoluble in water and propylene glycol, but soluble in ethanolacetonehexanetoluene, and diethyl ether. May cause skin sensitization with repeated or prolonged exposure. Its CAS number is .
