Sanskrit: धर्म) or Dhamma (
Pāli: धम्म) in Buddhism has two primary meanings:the teachings of the Buddha which lead to enlightenmentthe constituent factors of the experienced world In East Asia, the character for Dharma is , pronounced fǎ in Mandarin and hō in Japanese. The Tibetan translation of this term is chos . In Mongolian dharma is translated as nom, which is noteworthy since it ultimately derives from the Greek word νομος (nomos) (law).
