DevIL
Developer's Image Library or DevIL (originally called OpenIL; the name was changed at a request from Silicon Graphics, Inc.), started by Denton Woods, is a cross-platform image library which aims to provide a common API for different image file formats. It consists of three parts: the main library (IL), the utility library (ILU) and the utility toolkit (ILUT), mirroring the corresponding parts of OpenGL (although the OpenGL Utility Toolkit is not part of the OpenGL specification).

Devil
The Devil (from Greek: or diábolos = 'slanderer' or 'accuser') is believed in many religions and cultures to be a powerful, supernatural entity that is the personification of evil and the enemy of God and humankind. The nature of the role varies greatly. It ranges from being an effective opposite force to the creator god at one extreme, where both are locked in an eons long holy war for human souls on what may seem even terms (to the point of dualistic ditheism/bitheism), to being just a comical figure of fun or even an abstract aspect of the individual human condition at the other.

DevIL
DevIL ist eine plattformübergreifende und unter der LGPL stehende API zum schnellen Laden und Speichern von Grafiken. Der Aufbau bezieht sich auf OpenGL und soll eine ähnliche Einfachheit bei der Programmierung ermöglichen, weshalb der ursprüngliche Name „OpenIL“ lautete. Dieser musste jedoch auf Grund eines Rechtsstreites mit SGI, den Produzenten von OpenGL, geändert werden. Heraus kam DevIL, die "Developers Image Library".

Diable
Le Diable (latin : diabolus, du grec diabolos) est l'esprit ou le principe du mal selon les religions du Livre. Dans la tradition chrétienne, il s'agit d'un ange déchu. Contrairement à une croyance populaire, il n'est pas l'opposé de Dieu, comme le dit Priscillien, car en tant qu'ange, il est et reste une des créatures de Dieu. Il représente la personnification du mal, personnification qui apparait au . Son aspect varie entre l'homme et l'animal réel ou imaginaire (bouc, dragon, rapace, etc.), le plus souvent aux traits hideux et repoussants.

Diabel
Diabeł (gr. διάβολος diábolos - oskarżyciel, oszczerca) - w judaizmie i chrześcijaństwie ogólna nazwa złych, upadłych aniołów; inne określenia: szatan, demon.
W demonologii judaizmu i chrześcijaństwa oraz satanologii średniowiecznej diabły tworzą hierarchię i są upostaciowione.
Diabeł jako pojęcie pojawia się w tych religiach i wierzeniach, których panteon jest bipolarny, spolaryzowany na przeciwstawne sobie, walczące ze sobą dominia i w których dokonało się przejście od religii mitologicznej do soteriologicznej (kiedy pojawia się pojęcie zła moralnego). Według niektórych naukowców pojęcie diabła pojawiło się w chrześcijaństwie i islamie poprzez judaizm z wierzeń starożytnego Iranu (manicheizm, mazdaizm i zaratusztrianizm).
