Deutsches Kaiserreich

The German Empire is the name used in English to describe the first 47 years of the German Reich when it was a semi-constitutional monarchy: beginning with the unification of Germany and proclamation of Wilhelm I of Prussia as German Emperor (January 18, 1871), effectively ending with the proclamation of the German republic by Philipp Scheidemann (November 9, 1918) and formally ending with the abdication of Wilhelm II (November 28, 1918). The most important bordering states were the Russian Empire in the east, the French Third Republic in the west, and Austria-Hungary in the south.

L’Empire allemand était le régime politique du Reich allemand, le premier État-nation de l’histoire allemande, de 1871 à 1918. C’était une confédération constitutionnelle issue de la Confédération de l'Allemagne du Nord et réunissant dans le cadre de la « solution petite-allemande » vingt-deux monarchies et trois républiques ainsi qu'une « terre d'empire », l’Alsace-Lorraine, sous l'autorité d’un empereur allemand, également roi de Prusse. Il fut fondé le par la proclamation comme empereur de Guillaume I de Prusse au château de Versailles après la défaite française lors de la guerre franco-allemande de 1870. Il prit fin le par l'abdication de l’empereur Guillaume II à l'issue de la Première Guerre mondiale et la proclamation de la république de Weimar.

Das Deutsche Kaiserreich wurde am 18. Januar 1871 nach dem Sieg des Norddeutschen Bundes und der mit ihm verbündeten süddeutschen Staaten im Deutsch-Französischen Krieg gegründet. Auf kleindeutscher Grundlage und unter der Herrschaft der preußischen Hohenzollern war damit erstmals ein deutscher Nationalstaat entstanden.

II Rzesza Niemiecka, niem. Deutsches Reich – oficjalne określenie niemieckiego państwa narodowego założonego w 1871 roku przez polityka Otto von Bismarcka. Było ono także określane jako Deutsches Kaiserreich (Cesarstwo Niemieckie), a po jego upadku jako Druga Rzesza (Zweites Reich).Użycie wyrazu Rzesza (Reich) w nazwie nawiązywało do Świętego Cesarstwa Rzymskiego Narodu Niemieckiego (w jęz. niemieckim das Heilige Römische Reich deutscher Nation), w latach 962-1806 – tzw. Pierwszej lub Starej Rzeszy.Cesarstwo Niemieckie było monarchią konstytucyjną (zobacz tekst ) i państwem federalnym, złożonym z krajów Rzeszy, będących monarchiami, oraz wolnych miast. Godność cesarską sprawował zawsze ex officio król największego państwa, czyli Prus.

Il termine Impero tedesco, Deutsches Kaiserreich in lingua tedesca, si riferisce comunemente alla Germania, dalla sua consolidazione in uno Stato unificato, il 18 gennaio 1871, fino all'abdicazione del Kaiser (Imperatore) Guglielmo II l'8 novembre 1918. Più rara è la forma Impero germanico. Il nome ufficiale dello stato era Deutsches Reich che rimarrà nome ufficiale dello stato sino alla fine della Seconda Guerra Mondiale, anche se dopo che la Germania incorporò nel suo territorio nazionale l'Austria, lo Stato prese il nome (prima informalmente, poi formalmente dal'43) di Großdeutsches Reich ossia Reich della Grande Germania.
