Deutsche Bahn
Deutsche Bahn AG (DB AG, DBAG or DB) is the German national railway company, a private joint-stock company (AG) with its headquarters in Berlin. It came into existence in 1994 as the successor to the former state railways of Germany, the Deutsche Bundesbahn of West Germany and the Deutsche Reichsbahn of East Germany. It also gained ownership of former railway assets in West Berlin held by the VdeR. Its name means "German Railway" in German.

Deutsche Bahn
Die Deutsche Bahn AG (Abkürzung: DB) ist ein deutsches Verkehrsunternehmen mit Sitz in Berlin. Es entstand 1994 aus der Fusion der Staatsbahnen Deutsche Bundesbahn und Deutsche Reichsbahn. Das Unternehmen beschreibt sich selbst als weltweit zweitgrößtes Transportunternehmen nach der Deutschen Post AG. Das bundeseigene Unternehmen ist das größte Eisenbahnverkehrs- und Eisenbahninfrastrukturunternehmen in Europa.

Souvent designé par son nom commercial (Die Bahn) ou par le sigle DB, la Deutsche Bahn AG est l'entreprise ferroviaire nationale allemande. Elle est à ce titre la plus importante entreprise ferroviaire d'Allemagne et même d'Europe (hors Russie), tant par la longueur de son réseau, le chiffre d'affaire ou les prestations de transport.

Deutsche Bahn AG – grupa niemieckich firm kolejowych, oficjalnie nazywana koncernem Deutsche Bahn AG.

Pierwsza kolej parowa w Niemczech połączyła w 1835 Norymbergę z Fürth (6 km). Do 1920 własnymi kolejami dysponowały na ziemiach niemieckich ówczesne niezależne terytoria lub królestwa jak np. Bawaria, Saksonia lub Prusy. Następnie wraz z rozwojem wydarzeń historycznych również kolej zjednoczyła się przyjmując nazwę Niemieckiego Towarzystwa Kolei Rzeszy (DRG Deutsche Reichsbahngesellschaft). Po zakończeniu II wojny światowej w poszczególnych strefach okupacyjnych funkcjonowały oddzielne zarządy kolejowe. W 1949 w utworzonej RFN powstały Niemieckie Koleje Federalne (DB - Deutsche Bundesbahn), w NRD – Niemieckie Koleje Rzeszy (DR - Deutsche Reichsbahn, zachowano przedwojenną nazwę). Po zjednoczeniu Niemiec, w 1994 koleje połączyły się pod nazwą Kolej Niemiecka (DB Deutsche Bahn AG). Od 2000 noszą nieformalnie alternatywną lapidarną nazwę – Kolej (Die Bahn); w skrócie: DB. Grupa ta (niektóre źródła określają ją koncernem) organizacyjnie składa się z szeregu pionów decyzyjno-zadaniowych oraz dziesiątków wykonawczych podmiotów gospodarczych.
