Delta River
The Delta River is a tributary of the Tanana River, which in turn is a tributary of the Yukon River in Alaska in the United States.The river runs from the south to the north about 256 km (160 miles), being fed by numerous streams and 21 lakes. It meets the Tanana River near Big Delta, in a huge river delta, from which it received its name.

This river watershed begins high in south-central Alaska and connects a series of lakes lying in the Alaska Range. It offers excellent floating opportunities on its flow north to the Yukon River. At the Tangle Lakes Archeological District, evidence of cultures dating back 10,000 years has been found.
