Delaware

Delaware (IPA: //) is a state located on the Atlantic Coast in the Mid-Atlantic and Southern regions of the United States. The state is named after Delaware Bay and River, which were named for Thomas West, 3rd Baron De La Warr (1577–1618). Population estimates by the Census Bureau for 2005 place the population of Delaware at 843,524. Despite being the 45th most populous state, it is the seventh most densely populated state, with a population density of 320 more people per square mile than the national average, ranking ahead of states such as Florida, California, and Texas.

Delaware – stan w USA, na wschodnim wybrzeżu, na Nizinie Atlantyckiej, nad Zatoką Delaware. Na zachodzie i południu graniczy ze stanem Maryland, na północy ze stanem Pensylwania, a na wschodzie z New Jersey. Jeden z trzynastu stanów pierwotnych. Stan leży na obszarze Niziny Nadbrzeżnej i obok Florydy jest najniżej położonym stanem USA. Duża część ziem uprawnych leży poniżej 18 m n.p.m. Na południu tereny bardziej piaszczyste i mniej urodzajne. Drugi najmniejszy stan USA po Rhode Island. Pierwszy stan, który ratyfikował Konstytucję Stanów Zjednoczonych.

Il Delaware è uno stato degli USA. È noto come "The First State" (Il primo stato), poiché fu la prima delle 13 colonie a ratificare la Costituzione degli Stati Uniti, il 7 dicembre 1787.Stato degli Stati Uniti orientali situato tra Maryland, Pennsylvania e New Jersey. È lo stato più piccolo dopo il Rhode Island. Il luogo e caratterizzato da grandi pianure dove avviene la coltivazione dei legumi e della frutta. Diffusa anche la pesca. Troviamo la presenza di industrie siderurgiche, chimiche e di costruzioni navali.
