Dekalog

The Ten Commandments, or Decalog(ue), are a list of religious and moral imperatives which, according to Biblical tradition, were written by God and given to Moses on Mount Sinai in the form of two stone tablets. They feature prominently in Judaism and Christianity. The phrase "Ten Commandments" generally refers to the very similar passages in Exodus  and Deuteronomy . Some distinguish between this "Ethical Decalogue" and a series of ten commandments in Exodus 34 that are labelled the "Ritual Decalogue". This article mainly deals with the former.

Die Zehn Gebote, auch Dekalog („Zehnwort“, von griech. δεκα deka, „zehn“, und λoγoς logos, „Wort“), sind die wichtigste Zusammenfassung des Willens JHWHs, des Gottes Israels, im Tanach, der Hebräischen Bibel. Mit ihnen beginnt dort Gottes Offenbarung am Sinai. Daher gelten sie im Judentum und Christentum als Zentrum und Inbegriff der Tora (Weisung) für das Verhalten gegenüber Gott und den Mitmenschen.

Dekalog ( dekalogos "dziesięć słów") inaczej Dziesięć przykazań (dokładniej Dziesięć Oświadczeń Aseret ha-Dibrot)– zbiór podstawowych nakazów  moralnych obowiązujących pierwotnie wyznawców judaizmu, a następie przejęty przez chrześcijan, dla których jest podstawowym kanonem wiary.
