Davos (Romansh: Tavau, archaic Italian: Tavate, local German pronunciation ) is a municipality in the district of Prättigau/Davos in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. It has a permanent population of . Davos is located on the Landwasser River, in the Swiss Alps, between the Plessur and Albula Range. At , it is the highest city in Europe.

Der Luftkurort Davos (in der Ortsmundart uf Tafaas; rät. Tavau; ital. Tavate) ist die höchstgelegene Stadt Europas und die flächenmässig grösste Gemeinde der Schweiz. Der Ort liegt 1560 m hoch und hat 11'050 Einwohner (Ende 2008). Er bietet seinen Besuchern 5651 Hotelbetten und 16100 Betten in Ferienwohnungen/Privatzimmern (jährlich 2,1 Mio. Übernachtungen).
