David Bowie ( ; born David Robert Jones on 8 January 1947) is an English musician, actor, record producer and arranger. A major figure for over four decades in the world of popular music, Bowie is widely regarded as an innovator, particularly for his work in the 1970s. He is known for his distinctive voice and the intellectual depth and eclecticism of his work.

David Bowie
David Bowie (* 8. Januar 1947 in London, bürgerlich David Robert Heyward-Jones) ist ein britischer Musiker, Sänger, Produzent, Schauspieler und Maler. Bowie gilt als einer der einflussreichsten Popkünstler der jüngeren Musikgeschichte. Weltweit hat er über 140 Millionen Tonträger verkauft.

David Bowie
David Bowie (właściwie David Robert Jones) (ur. 8 stycznia 1947) - angielski piosenkarz, kompozytor, autor tekstów, producent, a także aktor.
Zaczął występować jako David Bowie, aby nie mylono go z perkusistą zespołu The Monkees o personaliach Davy Jones. W 1996 r. nominowany do Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Jego matką jest Margaret Mary Burns, ojcem - Hayward Stenton Jones. Miał chorego psychicznie brata Terry'ego (zm. 1985). Jego pierwszą żoną była modelka Angela Bowie, aktualnie jest w związku małżeńskim z somalijską modelką Iman. Jego dzieci to Zowie Duncan (z pierwszego małżeństwa) oraz Alexandria Zahra Jones. Według raportu opublikowanego w roku 2003 w Sunday Express, Bowie jest drugim pod względem zamożności piosenkarzem w Anglii (za Paulem McCartneyem).
