Daniela Mercury

Daniela Mercuri de Almeida Póvoas (born on July 28, 1965 in Salvador, Bahia) is a Latin Grammy Award-nominated Brazilian axé, samba-reggae and MPB singer, songwriter and record producer. Since her breakthrough, Mercury became one of the best known Brazilian female singers, selling almost eleven millions albums worldwide. As of the present date, she holds the record of being the female singer with most number-one songs in the official Brazilian Singles Chart, with fourteen.
