Dalmatia (, ; see names in other languages) is a historical region on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea, in Croatia. It stretches from the island of Rab in the northwest to the Bay of Kotor in the southeast. The hinterland, the Dalmatian Zagora, ranges from fifty kilometers in width in the north to just a few kilometers in the south. The Dalmatian dog received its name from Dalmatia, as does the dalmatic, a Roman Catholic liturgical vestment worn by deacons and bishops.

Dalmatien (in den südslawischen Sprachen Dalmacija / Далмација, lateinisch Dalmatia, italienisch Dalmazia) ist eine geographische und historische Region an der Ostküste der Adria im Süden Kroatiens. Sie erstreckt sich von der Insel Rab im Norden bis zur Bucht von Kotor im Süden und grenzt im Osten und Nordosten an Bosnien und Herzegowina. Die wichtigsten Städte sind Split, Zadar und Dubrovnik.
