In computing, DOC or doc (an abbreviation of 'document') is a file extension for word processing documents; most commonly for Microsoft Word. Historically, the extension was used for documentation in plain-text format, particularly of programs or computer hardware, on a wide range of operating systems. During the 1980s, WordPerfect used DOC as the extension of their proprietary format. Later, in the 1990s, Microsoft chose to use the DOC extension for their Microsoft Word word processing formats. The original uses for the extension have largely disappeared from the PC world.

En informatique DOC ou doc (abréviation de 'document') est une extension de nom de fichier, traditionnellement utilisée pour la documentation en format texte propriétaire, sur une large variété de systèmes d'exploitations. Dans les années 1980, WordPerfect a utilisé l'extension DOC en tant que format propriétaire. Puis, dans les années 1990, Microsoft a également utilisé l'extension DOC pour leur traitement de texte  Microsoft Word. En conséquence, l'usage majoritaire, en 2006, est de comprendre document texte microsoft.

Zgodnie z PIHKAL dawkowanie 2,5-dimetoksy-4-chloroamfetaminy waha się w przedziale 1,5 do 3 mg. Działanie DOC po zażyciu doustnym utrzymuje się przez około 12-24 godzin, zależnie od przyjętej dawki. Rozprowadzane jest zwykle w postaci nasączonych roztworem kartoników, co sprawia że często jest mylone z LSD przez niedoświadczone osoby. DOC jest agonistą receptorów serotoninowych.W Polsce DOC nie znajduje się w wykazie substancji nielegalnych.

Microsoft Word to procesor tekstu firmy Microsoft, najpopularniejszy obecnie tego typu program na świecie. Pierwotnie stworzony przez Richarda Brodie dla komputerów PC z systemem DOS w roku 1983. Kolejne wersje powstawały dla Macintosha (1984), SCO UNIX i Windows (1989). Pierwotnie samodzielny program, stał się później częścią pakietu biurowego Microsoft Office.
