DJ

.dj is the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Djibouti. It has been marketed for music-related sites due to the common use of "DJ" to mean disc jockey. A project is also under development to use it for "Data Journals". However, this TLD has not proven especially popular to date.

"DJ" was the fifth and final single from Jamelia's second album Thank You and was also released a double a-side with the Sam Brown song "Stop"."DJ" is a song written by SoulShock, Kenneth Karlin, P. White, Alex Cantrall and O. Longott, first recorded by Melodi Brown, although they never released the song or indeed any material . The song was also recorded by Samantha Mumba and later by Jamelia, however only Jamelia's version was commercially released. It was produced by Soulshock and Kenneth Karlin.

Dansk Jernbane ApS (abbreviated DJ or DJ=) is a Danish company operating freight trains. Established in 2004, the company has gained a number of customers throughout the country, in contrast to Railion's steady service reductions in non-transit freight traffic in Denmark. Like the defunct freight operators PBS/Eurorail and TraXion, it is independent of the Danish state and local authorities.

In reggae, the disc jockey (deejay) is a vocalist who raps, toasts, beatboxes or chats over pre-recorded rhythm tracks while the individual choosing and playing them is referred to as a selector. Mobile disc jockeys travel with portable sound systems and play at a variety of events.

Didżej lub DJ (ang. Disc Jockey – Dee Jay) – osoba grająca muzykę na dyskotekach, najczęściej przy pomocy gramofonów. Osoba prowadząca dyskoteki przy pomocy sprzętu didżejskiego (obecnie najpopularniejszy zestaw to 2 odtwarzacze płyt CD lub/i 2 gramofony oraz mikser). Praca didżeja polega na miksowaniu piosenek, czyli najczęściej na likwidowaniu wyraźnych przejść między piosenkami.
