Dune
In physical geography, a dune is a hill of sand built either by wind or water flow. Dunes occur in different forms and sizes, formed by interaction with the flow of air or water. Most kinds of dunes are longer on the windward side where the sand is pushed up the dune and have a shorter "slip face" in the lee of the wind. The valley or trough between dunes is called a slack. A "dune field" is an area covered by extensive sand dunes. Large dune fields are known as ergs.

Dúné
Dúné is a Danish rock band from Skive, Denmark currently based in the German capital Berlin. The band consist of Danny Jungslund (Guitar), Matt Kolstrup (Vocals), Piotrek Wasilewski (Bass & Synthesizers) and Ole Bjórn (Synthesizers, Piano, Programming & Vocals). Their style is comparable to British and American Electro rock and resembles elements of 1980s pop music and 1970s punk rock. The band is known for their entertaining and energetic live performances.

Dune
Dune (deutscher Titel Der Wüstenplanet) ist der Titel der ersten Folge einer Reihe von Science-Fiction-Romanen von Frank Herbert und zugleich einer der Namen des Planeten Arrakis, auf dem der größte Teil der Handlung spielt. Dune gewann 1965 als erster Roman den Nebula Award und ein Jahr später den Hugo Award, jeweils in der Kategorie Bester Roman. Bis heute wurde das Buch über zwölf Millionen Mal verkauft.

Dúné
Düne
Eine Düne ist eine Erhebung aus Sand, die vom Wind angeweht und abgelagert wird. Die Bildung von Dünen setzt das Vorhandensein von Sand und das Fehlen einer geschlossenen Pflanzendecke voraus. Dünen bilden sich daher bevorzugt in trockenen (ariden) Klimazonen, können aber auch in humiden Gebieten auftreten, sofern die befestigende Vegetation beseitigt wurde. Wird der Sand eher gleichmäßig in Form einer Decke aufgeweht, spricht man neutral von Flugsand.

Sanddyn

En sanddyn är en sandformation som skapas av vind. Om en sanddyn breder ut sig tillräckligt mycket blir det en öken eftersom för mycket sand slår ut växtligheten. Sanddyner finns i många olika varianter och storlekar, exempel på olika sorters dyner är. Vissa sandyner kan ge ifrån sig tonerna G, F och E.

Wydma
Wydma to piaszczyste wzniesienie o różnym kształcie, usypane przez wiatr.
Powstawanie wydm jest ściśle związane z transportem i akumulacją materiału piaszczystego. Piasek pędzony wiatrem blisko powierzchni lub wleczony po niej zatrzymuje się za takimi przeszkodami jak głazy, zarośla czy nierówności gruntu - gromadząc się wówczas tworzy wydmę.
Większość wydm cechuje asymetria stoków.
