Cyrillic alphabet

The Cyrillic alphabet (pronounced also called azbuka, from the old name of the first two letters) is actually a family of alphabets, subsets of which are used by certain Slavic languages — Belarusian, Bulgarian, Macedonian, Russian, Rusyn, Serbian, and Ukrainian—as well as  many other languages of the former Soviet Union, Asia and Eastern Europe. It has also been used for other languages in the past. Not all letters in the Cyrillic alphabet are used in every language that is written with it.

L'alphabet cyrillique (bulgare et macédonien : кирилица ; en russe : кириллица ; en ukrainien : кирилиця ; en biélorusse : Кірыліца ; en ruthène : кырилиця ; en serbe : ћирилица) est un alphabet bicaméral de trente lettres (dans sa version moderne bulgare), créé au par des disciples du frère Cyrille (peut-être Clément d'Ohrid), à partir du grec dans sa graphie onciale et de l'alphabet glagolitique.

Das kyrillische Alphabet, nach den traditionellen Namen der ersten beiden Buchstaben auch Asbuka (aзбука) genannt, ist eine Buchstabenschrift, die für zahlreiche, vor allem slawische, Sprachen in Europa und Asien verwendet wird. Sie ist nach Kyrill von Saloniki benannt, der jedoch nicht die (heute trotzdem so genannte) kyrillische, sondern die ihr vorausgehende glagolitische Schrift entworfen hat.

Cyrylica - pismo alfabetyczne służące do zapisu języków wschodniosłowiańskich, większości południowosłowiańskich i innych. Nazwa nawiązuje do apostoła Słowian - św. Cyryla, który wspólnie ze św. Metodym, prowadząc misję wielkomorawską wśród Słowian zapisał i wprowadził do liturgii język słowiański. Do zapisu tego języka zostały stworzone dwa alfabety - głagolica i później cyrylica (pismo uproszczone na bazie dużego alfabetu greckiego - majuskuły oraz głagolicy, z której zostały przeniesione niektóre litery).

L'alfabeto cirillico (chiamato anche Азбука, dall'antico nome delle prime due lettere) è l'alfabeto usato per scrivere varie lingue slave (il bielorusso, il bosniaco, il bulgaro, il macedone, il russo, il ruteno, il serbo e l'ucraino) ed altre lingue non slave parlate in territori appartenenti all'ex Unione Sovietica e nell'odierna Federazione russa. È il terzo alfabeto ufficiale dell'Unione europea.
