Corticotropin-releasing hormone

Corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH), originally named corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF), and also called corticoliberin, is a polypeptide hormone and neurotransmitter involved in the stress response.

La corticolibérine est selon son utilisation soit un neurotransmetteur soit une neurohormone produite par l'hypothalamus et agissant au niveau de l'hypophyse sur l'expression du gène codant la pro-opiomélanocortine ou POMC, ainsi que sur sa maturation en hormone corticotrope (ACTH) puis sa sécrétion.

Das Corticotropin-releasing Hormone (CRH) bzw. der Corticotropin Releasing Factor (CRF), auch Corticoliberin genannt, ist ein Polypeptid, das aus 41 Aminosäuren besteht und im Nucleus paraventricularis des Hypothalamus gebildet wird. Von dort gelangt es über Portalgefäße zum Hypophysenvorderlappen, wo es die cAMP-abhängige Proteinkinase A aktiviert. Das wiederum stimuliert v.a. die Ausschüttung von ACTH (Adrenokorticotropes Hormon) und den Sympathikus.

Corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) is een polypeptiden-hormoon dat tegelijkertijd optreedt als een neurotransmitter, een molecuul dat wordt gebruikt bij de signaaloverdracht tussen zenuwcellen. CRH wordt geproduceerd door de nucleus paraventricularis van de Hypothalamus. CRH stimuleert de adenohypofyse tot de aanmaak van ACTH.
