Conserveringstechniek
Een conserveringstechniek is een methode of protocol waarmee men probeert een voorwerp langer bewaarbaar te maken in een toestand die de oorspronkelijke toestand van het voorwerp zo dicht mogelijk benadert. Conservering verschilt dus van restauratie daarin dat de eerste geen pogingen doet reeds beschadigde of verdwenen delen of aspecten te vervangen of te repareren.
