Connecticut

Connecticut is a state located in the New England region of the northeastern United States of America. Southwestern Connecticut is also considered part of the New York metropolitan area. Connecticut is the 29th most populous state with 3.4 million residents and ranked 48th in size by area, making it the 4th most densely populated state.. Called the "Constitution State," Connecticut has a long history dating from the early colonial times, and was influential in the development of early American government.

Le Connecticut est un État de Nouvelle-Angleterre, dans le Nord-est des États-Unis. Il compte près de 3,5 millions d’habitants. La capitale du Connecticut est Hartford, et la plus grande ville Bridgeport. Connecticut war eine der dreizehn Kolonien, die während des amerikanischen Unabhängigkeitskrieges gegen das Königreich Großbritannien rebellierten. Der Bundesstaat trägt den offiziellen Beinamen „The Constitution State“ (dt. Verfassungsstaat), der 1959 durch Gesetzesakt angenommen wurde, und wird darüber hinaus auch "Provision State" (Proviantstaat) genannt. Diese Bezeichnung rührt daher, dass während des Amerikanischen Unabhängigkeitskrieges die Kontinentalarmee von Connecticut aus mit Proviant versorgt wurde; der Bundesstaat erlebte kaum Kämpfe im Land.

Il Connecticut è uno dei 50 stati che compongono gli Stati Uniti d'America, situato sulla costa nord-orientale, nella regione del New England.
