Concession is a community in
Digby County, in
Nova Scotia,
Canada. It is in the
district of the municipality of
Clare.Concession has a
Roman Catholic church that was built in October of
1902 named Notre Dame du Mont Carmel. The decision to build the church was made in November of
1901. The church still has a following; however, it is going through some financial difficulties and may have to eventually close down.Concession is home to the Camp Jeunesse Acadien (CJA) that was at one time ran by
nuns; however, it is now run by hired
students who want a summer job. The CJA is the starting point for the extremely popular Clare Canoe Trip that starts on
Good Friday.
