Comfort food
Comfort food is food prepared traditionally, that may have a nostalgic or sentimental appeal, or simply provide an easy-to-eat, easy-to-digest meal rich in calories, nutrients, or both. Comfort foods may be foods that have a nostalgic element either to an individual or a specific culture. Many comfort foods are flavorful and easily eaten, having soft consistencies.

Aliment-réconfort
Un aliment-réconfort aussi appelé aliment réconfortant ou aliment-doudou (comfort food, en anglais) est un aliment familier qui suscite un sentiment de réconfort et de bien-aise lorsque consommé. Les aliments-réconfort sont généralement composé de glucides simples et complexes tels le sucre, le riz, le blé raffiné, etc. Les aliments-réconfort ont toujours été l'apanage des diners et autres restaurants informel et de la cuisine-maison.
