College Street is a main east-west route in downtown
Toronto,
Canada. It branches off
Dundas Street just west of Lansdowne Avenue and runs east to
Yonge Street, after which it is continued by
Carlton Street. The
TTC's
506 streetcar runs along College and Carlton Streets.The intersection of College,
Carlton, and
Yonge Streets is dominated by the landmark
College Park complex, which once housed an
Eaton's department store. This historic building is now used for retail, office, and residential purposes.Further to the west, at
University Avenue is
Queen's Park to the north. To the south are the
MaRS Discovery District and several hospitals, including
Toronto General Hospital,
Hospital for Sick Children,
Princess Margaret Hospital,
Mount Sinai Hospital, and
Toronto Rehab.
