Cream pie
A cream pie is a type of
pie typically made of usually firmer versions of dessert-style
puddings. It is a typically American dessert.The filling is usually a rich
custard made with flour and/or cornflour, eggs and milk. This
custard cream is clearly related to the French
crème patissière which is used as a filling for various French cakes and
tarts. Crème patissière is the usual filling for the traditional French birthday cake, Gâteau St Honoré, which consists of a ring of custard-filled
cream puffs on a sweet
biscuit (American: cookie) base, the centre filled with more custard.

En général, une tarte à la crème est une préparation culinaire faite d'une
pâte amincie au rouleau et garnie de
crème, entre autres
ingrédients. Le but est plus de l'écraser au visage d'une tierce personne (par surprise) que de la consommer. Dans certains cas de figure, par extension, terme familier utilisé pour désigner une idée toute faite, une opinion fourre-tout d'une grande banalité : on ne se mouille guère vu qu'il y a toutes sortes de tartes et toutes sortes de crèmes.Ce terme peut aussi symboliser une gifle ou un
