Cisjordânia

The West Bank (, , , Hagadah Hamaaravit), also known as Judea and Samaria, is a landlocked territory on the west bank of the Jordan River in the Middle East. Since 1967 most of the West Bank has been under Israeli military occupation. After the dissolution of the Ottoman Empire in 1922, this territory was part of the British Mandate of Palestine. The 1948 Arab-Israeli War saw the establishment of Israel in parts of the former mandate, while the West Bank was captured and annexed by Jordan. The 1949 Armistice Agreements defined its interim boundary. From 1948 until 1967, the area was under Jordanian rule, though Jordan did not officially relinquish its claim to the area until 1988. It was captured by Israel during the Six-Day War. With the exception of East Jerusalem it was not annexed by Israel, although most of the West Bank remains under Israeli military occupation. Most of the residents are Palestinians, although large numbers of Israeli settlements have also been built in the region.

La Cisjordanie est une région du Proche-Orient, entre Israël et la Jordanie, dont le statut est sujet à discussions entre Israël et l'Autorité palestinienne. Elle est considérée comme n'étant sous aucune souveraineté de jure. Le territoire cisjordanien s'étend sur km. Ses limites sont très découpées et constituent un enjeu très sensible dans les négociations entre Israël et Palestiniens .

A Cisjordânia ou Margem Ocidental é um território reclamado pela Palestina e pela Jordânia sob ocupação de Israel, situado na margem ocidental do rio Jordão. É limitado a leste pela Jordânia e a norte, sul e oeste por Israel.Neste pequeno espaço de terra, acontecimentos históricos foram realizados, principalmente na época pós saída dos judeus do Egito e na condução destes na conquista da então Canaã pelo líder Joshua.

Cisjordania, llamada así modernamente en las lenguas latinas por hallarse en el lado de aquí (la margen occidental, o West Bank) del río Jordán, es un territorio interior de entre 20 y 40 kilómetros de ancho, delimitado al este por el Jordán y el Mar Muerto, y al oeste por la llamada Línea Verde. Tras la disolución del Imperio Otomano en 1922, la región pasó a formar parte del Mandato Británico de Palestina. Durante la guerra árabe-israelí de 1948, Jordania lo anexó y el Armisticio de 1949 definió sus límites provisionales mediante la Línea Verde. Desde 1948 hasta 1967 permaneció bajo Administración jordana. El territorio fue conquistado por Israel a Jordania en 1967, durante la Guerra de los Seis Días, y Jordania no dejó oficialmente de reclamarlo hasta 1988. Hoy día se encuentra parcialmente bajo administración militar israelí y parcialmente bajo la Autoridad Nacional Palestina.
