Cisco Systems, Inc. is an American multinational corporation headquartered in San Jose, California, United States, that designs, manufactures, and sells networking equipment. The stock was added to the Dow Jones Industrial Average on June 8, 2009, and is also included in the S&P 500 Index, the Russell 1000 Index, NASDAQ 100 Index and the Russell 1000 Growth Stock Index.

Cisco Systems är ett amerikanskt globalt företag med världsledande produkter och tjänster inom nätverk och datorkommunikation. Idag marknadsför företaget produkter inom ett antal varumärken: Cisco, Linksys, Scientific Atlanta, Webex och Ironport. Den grundläggande företagsidén var att sälja routrar till företag, men idag finns Ciscos produkter och tjänster överallt: i hemmen, på företagen och hos operatörer.

Cisco
Cisco Systems, Inc. - amerykańskie przedsiębiorstwo informatyczne, jedno z największych w branży. Postrzegane często jako "sieciowy Microsoft" z uwagi na jakość produktów i bardzo agresywną politykę sprzedaży.
Początkowo Cisco zajmowało się jedynie produkcją urządzeń przeznaczonych do routingu, jednak obecnie oferta obejmuje także firewalle, przełączniki, koncentratory, oprogramowanie wspomagające zarządzanie sieciami komputerowymi oraz wiele innych produktów i usług związanych z teleinformatyką.
Przedsiębiorstwo zostało założona w 1984 roku przez małżonków Leonarda Bosacka i Sandrę Lerner pracujących ówcześnie na Uniwersytecie Stanford. Nazwa cisco pochodzi od pobliskiego uniwersytetowi miasta San Francisco. Natomiast logo firmy symbolizuje most Golden Gate.
