Christian Democratic Union (East Germany)
The Christian Democratic Union of Germany ) was an East German political party founded in 1945. It was part of the National Front with the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED) until 1989.

Christlich-Demokratische Union Deutschlands (DDR)
Die überkonfessionelle Partei Christlich-Demokratische Union Deutschlands (CDU) war eine Blockpartei in der DDR und wurde im Juni 1945 gegründet. 1990 ging sie in der gesamtdeutschen CDU auf.

Christlich Demokratische Union Deutschlands (DDR)
De Christlich Demokratische Union Deutschlands (CDUD, Christlich Demokratische Union Deutschlands (DDR)) was een Oost-Duitse partij.
De CDUD werd in 1945 opgericht in de Russische zone als confessionele partij voor heel Duitsland. Spoedig werden de contacten met de CDU's in de andere bezettingszones lauwer. In 1945 werd de CDUD lid van het (door de communisten gedomineerde) Antifablok (Antifascistisch Blok) en na de oprichting van DDR werd de CDUD lid van het (eveneens door communisten gedomineerde) Nationaal Front. Vanaf het begin van de DDR was de CDUD een loyale coalitiegenoot van de (communistische) SED (net als de LDPD, DBD en de NDPD). Pas in november 1989 trad de CDUD uit het Nationaal Front en werd een onafhankelijke partij (onder Lothar de Maizière) en in maart 1990 won de CDUD de verkiezingen in de DDR en werd De Maizière premier. In oktober 1990 ging de CDUD op in de West-Duitse CDU van bondskanselier Helmut Kohl.

Saksan kristillisdemokraattinen unioni (DDR)
Saksan kristillisdemokraattinen unioni (, lyh. CDU) oli Saksan demokraattisessa tasavallassa (DDR) toiminut puolue. Muiden puolueiden tavoin CDU ei pystynyt luomaan omaa itsenäistä politiikkaansa, vaan se tuki kommunistista yhteiskuntajärjestelmää ja DDR:ää hallinnutta kommunistista Saksan sosialistista yhtenäisyyspuoluetta (SED). CDU kuului Kansalliseen rintamaan. Muiden blokkipuolueiden tavoin se lähetti edustajiaan kunnallis-, piiri- ja alueneuvostoihin sekä myös DDR:n parlamenttiin, kansankamariin. Puolue oli yleiskristillinen.
