Christopher Arthur Amon MBE (born 20 July 1943 in Bulls, New Zealand) is a former motor racing driver. He was active in Formula One - racing in the 1960s and 1970s - and is widely regarded to be one of the best F1 drivers never to win a championship Grand Prix. His reputation for bad luck was such that fellow driver Mario Andretti once joked that "if he became an undertaker, people would stop dying". Apart from driving, Chris Amon also ran his own F1 team for a short period in 1974. Away from F1, Amon had some success in sports car racing, winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in .

Il a décroché 5 pole positions, 3 meilleurs tours en course et a marqué 83 points au championnat du monde de Formule 1, ce qui en fait un des pilotes les plus malchanceux de l'histoire du sport automobile, eu égard à son talent. Son meilleur classement en championnat du monde est une 4 place en 1967. En Sport-Prototypes, Chris Amon a rencontré plus de succès puisqu'il a remporté 3 victoires en championnat du monde (24 Heures du Mans en 1966, 24 Heures de Daytona et 1000 km de Monza en 1967).

W 1967 roku podpisał umowę z Ferrari i zajął 4 miejsce w klasyfikacji generalnej. W 1968 roku wygrał większość wyścigów Grand Prix. Uczestniczył także w wyścigach w Tasmanii. W 1977 roku powrócił do Nowej Zelandii.
