"CHiPs" is an American television series produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios that aired on NBC from September 15, 1977 to July 17, 1983. Originally produced by MGM, it is distributed worldwide by Turner Program Services.The program ran for 139 episodes over six seasons. Due to falling ratings through seasons 5 and 6, the show was cancelled in the spring of 1983.

Chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assay, is a method used for experiments in molecular biology. The purpose of this assay is to determine whether proteins including (but not limited to) transcription factors bind to a particular region on the endogenous chromatin of living cells or tissues.
