Chinese calendar

The Chinese calendar is a lunisolar calendar, incorporating elements of a lunar calendar with those of a solar calendar. In China today, the Gregorian calendar is used for most day to day activities, but the Chinese calendar is still used for marking traditional Chinese holidays such as Chinese New Year (Spring Festival), Duan Wu festival, and the Mid-Autumn Festival, and in astrology, such as choosing the most auspicious date for a wedding or the opening of a building. Because each month follows one cycle of the moon, it is also used to determine the phases of the moon.

Le Calendrier chinois est un calendrier soli-lunaire (ordre plus souvent utilisé que :calendrier luni-solaire). Durant l'antiquité, des observations diverses (mouvements de la lune, du soleil et de la planète Jupiter, longueur des ombres, durée relative des jours et des nuits, phénomènes agricoles) ont été combinées pour aboutir sous les Han à un calendrier très proche de l'actuel.

Der chinesische Kalender ist ein astronomischer Lunisolarkalender, das heißt ein Kalender, der sowohl mit dem Sonnenzyklus (Jahr), als auch mit dem Mondzyklus (Monat) korrespondiert und nicht durch arithmetische Regeln, sondern durch astronomische Ereignisse definiert wird. Er wird heute in Ostasien zur Berechnung von Festen benutzt, allerdings verwenden sowohl die Volksrepublik China als auch Republik China auf Taiwan wie auch die meisten anderen asiatischen Länder offiziell den gregorianischen Kalender. In Taiwan wird jedoch eine abgewandelte Form benutzt, die Zeitrechnung beginnt ab der Gründung der Republik China 1912. Im Chinesischen heißt der traditionelle Kalender „Bauernkalender“ (chin. 農曆 nónglì), der ebenfalls verwendete gregorianische Kalender heißt „westlicher Kalender“ (xili 西曆 xīlì) oder „bürgerlicher Kalender“ (公曆 gōnglì).

La Repubblica popolare cinese adotta ufficialmente il calendario gregoriano; d'altra parte, il calendario giuliano era già conosciuto e utilizzato in Cina fin dai tempi di Marco Polo. Tuttavia, accanto al calendario gregoriano, continua ad essere osservato, soprattutto per le festività, l'antico calendario lunare cinese.
