Chile, officially the Republic of Chile (Spanish: ), is a country in South America occupying a long and narrow coastal strip wedged between the Andes mountains and the Pacific Ocean. The Pacific forms the country's entire western border, with Peru to the north, Bolivia to the northeast, Argentina to the east, and the Drake Passage at the country's southernmost tip. Chile claims 1,250,000 km² of territory in Antarctica.

La République du Chili ( en espagnol) est un pays d’Amérique du Sud partageant ses frontières avec le Pérou au nord, la Bolivie au nord est et l’Argentine à l’est. La capitale de ce pays à la forme allongée porte le nom de Santiago du Chili.

Chile (spanisch ; amtlich República de Chile, deutsch: Republik Chile) ist ein Staat im Südwesten Südamerikas, der sich annähernd in Nord-Süd-Richtung zwischen den Breitengraden 17° 3' S und 56° 30' S erstreckt. Das Land grenzt im Westen und Süden an den Pazifischen Ozean, im Norden an Peru, im Nordosten an Bolivien und im Osten an Argentinien. Daneben zählen zum Staatsgebiet die im Pazifik gelegene Osterinsel (Rapa Nui), die Insel Salas y Gómez, die Juan-Fernández-Inseln (einschließlich der Robinson-Crusoe-Insel), die Desventuradas-Inseln sowie im Süden die Ildefonso-Inseln und die Diego-Ramirez-Inseln. Ferner beansprucht Chile einen Teil der Antarktis.

Chile (Republika Chile - República de Chile) – państwo w Ameryce Południowej, ciągnące się długim pasem na zachodnim wybrzeżu kontynentu nad Oceanem Spokojnym. Graniczy z Peru, Boliwią i Argentyną. Do Chile należą liczne wyspy przybrzeżne i wyspy na otwartym oceanie: Juan Fernández, Wyspa Wielkanocna, Sala y Gómez, San Ambrosio i San Félix.

Il Cile (il cui nome ufficiale è República de Chile Repubblica del Cile) è uno stato (756.950 km², 16.134.219 abitanti, capitale Santiago del Cile) situato nell'estremità sudoccidentale dell'America Meridionale. Confina ad est con l'Argentina, a nord-est con Bolivia, al nord con il Perù, e ad ovest con l'Oceano Pacifico. Si estende da nord a sud tra i 17° e i 56° di latitudine, fanno parte del territorio dello stato anche l'isola di Pasqua, l'isola Sala y Gómez, le isole Juan Fernández, le isole Desventuradas, le isole Ildefonso e Diego Ramírez. Il Cile rivendica inoltre la sovranità su una parte del territorio antartico.
