Chengdu
, located in southwest China, is the capital of Sichuan province and a sub-provincial city. It is the fifth most populous city in China. Chengdu is also one of the most important economic centers and transportation and communication hubs in China.More than four thousand years ago, the prehistorical Bronze Age culture of Jinsha  established itself in this region. The fertile Chengdu Plain, on which Chengdu is located, is called Tianfuzhi guo in Chinese, which literally means "the country of heaven", or more often seen translated as "the Land of Abundance". It was recently named China's 4th-most livable city by China Daily.

Chengdu
Chengdu ist die Hauptstadt der chinesischen Provinz Sichuan und eine der 15 Unterprovinzstädte des Landes. Der chinesische Kurzname ist Róng (蓉). Die Stadt hat 10,44 Millionen Einwohner, davon ca. 4,52 Mio. in den neun Stadtbezirken (1. Januar 2005). Die Stadt hat sich neben Chongqing zum Wirtschaftszentrum Westchinas entwickelt. 2006 wurde die Stadt laut China Daily zu der am viert lebenswertesten Stadt gezählt.
