Chemin de fer
Chemin de fer is the French term for railway. It may refer to:
- Musée français du chemin de fer, the French National Railway Museum
- Baccarat Chemin de fer, a variation of the card game, Baccarat
- one of several railway companies in Europe
- one of several railway companies in Canada
- Le chemin de fer (Alkan), Op. 27, an étude composed by Charles-Valentin Alkan in 1844
- Étude aux chemins de fer, the seminal 1948 composition of electronic music, specifically musique concrète, by Pierre Schaeffer, constructed from railway sounds
- a poem by Elizabeth Bishop, from her first book North and South
- a play by Georges Feydeau, French playwright and a precursor to the dada movement

Baccarat
Baccarat is a card game, played at casinos and by gamblers. It is believed to have been introduced into France from Italy during the reign of King Charles VIII (ruled 1483–98), and it is similar to Faro and Basset. There are three popular variants of the game: punto banco (or "North American baccarat"), baccarat chemin de fer, and baccarat banque (or "à deux tableaux"). Punto banco is strictly a game of chance, with no skill or strategy involved; each player's moves are forced by the cards the player is dealt. In baccarat chemin de fer and baccarat banque, by contrast, both players can make choices, which allows skill to play a part. Despite this, the winning odds are in favour of the bank, with a house edge no lower than around 1 per cent.

Chemin de fer
Le chemin de fer est un système de transport guidé servant au transport de personnes et de marchandises. Il se compose d'une infrastructure spécialisée, de matériel roulant et de procédures d'exploitation faisant le plus souvent intervenir l'humain, même si dans le cas des métros automatiques cette intervention se limite en temps normal à de la surveillance.

Baccara (jeu)
Le Baccara est un jeu de cartes ressemblant au chemin de fer. Joué entre un banquier et des joueurs appelés pontes, il est surtout présent dans les casinos.

Punto banco
Punto banco eller baccarat är ett hasardspel som kan spelas på kasino. Flera kortlekar används, oftast sex eller åtta stycken. Man kan satsa på tre alternativ: att man tror att spelaren (punto) eller banken (banco) kommer att få den bästa handen, eller på att det blir oavgjort (egalité).

Chemin de fer
Lo chemin de fer è un gioco molto simile al Baccarà per quanto riguarda i punteggi e le carte utilizzate, sebbene se ne distacchi per quanto riguarda lo svolgimento del gioco.
I giocatori si dispongono in cerchio lungo il tavolo; il senso di gioco è antiorario. Un giocatore usualmente fa il banco e il giocatore dopo di lui fa lo sfidante. Il banco passa da un giocatore all'altro quando colui che lo possiede perde il colpo.
