Cheat

Cheat! is a TV show on G4 (formerly G4techTV) and Jack TV that provides cheat codes, strategies, and other hidden features for video games. The show is hosted by Kristin Holt, who replaced original host Cory Rouse in November 2004.Cheat! was one of the first shows to be on G4 when it launched in spring 2002. Host Cory Rouse would give tips and cheats on a couple of games from the studio in the early episodes. In fall 2002, G4 made a deal with Pringles to have them sponsor the show. Cheat was now officially known as "Cheat, Pringles Gamer's Guides". Cheat was one of G4's most popular shows. In certain episodes Rouse would leave the studio and film on location based on the game he was reviewing. Notable episodes of these years include Rouse getting advice from the staff at Tips and Tricks magazine, looking at Knights of the Old Republic as a Jedi Knight and Sith Lord, and looking at The Matrix.

La tricherie est le fait de ne pas respecter des règles pour profiter d'avantages. On peut tricher au jeu, dans le sport, à un examen (antisèches, copier sur le voisin…). Quelqu'un qui triche est appelé un tricheur. Lorsqu'on découvre que quelqu'un a triché, il est généralement sanctionné.

Als Cheat (englisch für Betrug, Schwindel) wird die Möglichkeit bezeichnet, in einem Computerspiel selbst oder durch externe Programme den Spielverlauf in einer nicht dem gewöhnlichen Verlauf entsprechenden Weise zu beeinflussen. Es handelt sich dabei beispielsweise um Tricks, mit denen für manche Spieler zu schwere Abschnitte eines Levels übersprungen werden können. Aber auch das Verschaffen von zum Beispiel unendlicher Lebensenergie, mehr Munition oder weiteren Einheiten werden meist von Cheats abgedeckt. In der Regel sind diese Funktionen zu Testzwecken für die Entwicklungsphase des Spiels einprogrammiert.

Ściąganie – sposób oszukiwania podczas zdawania wszelkiego rodzaju egzaminów i testów (klasówki, kolokwia) stosowany przez osobę uczącą się (student, uczeń). Inaczej definiując jest to stosowanie niedozwolonej pomocy lub zamiar jej użycia, będący próbą (udaną lub nie) ominięcia kontroli wyników nauczania, która jest w sprzeczności z regulaminem i celami wychowawczymi szkoły oraz regułami przeprowadzania egzaminu, kolokwium czy sprawdzianu.

Un trucco (o cheat in inglese) in un videogioco è una tecnica che permette di barare, ovvero ottenere degli effetti benefici normalmente impossibili su uno o più partecipanti. Ne esiste la possibilità in molti videogiochi, sia in giocatore singolo (utilizzabili o meno a discrezione del giocatore) che in multigiocatore (proibiti perché contro l'etica sportiva, a meno che influenzino ugualmente tutti i giocatori).
