Chariots of Fire

Written by Colin Welland and directed by Hugh Hudson, it is based on the true story of British athletes preparing for and competing in the 1924 Summer Olympics. The film was nominated for seven Academy Awards and won four, including Best Picture.

Momenti di gloria è un film del 1981. Scritto da Colin Welland e diretto da Hugh Hudson, il film è tratto dalla storia vera degli universitari di Cambridge che si allenarono per partecipare alle olimpiadi del 1924. Il film ricevette 7 nomination agli Oscar e ne vinse 4. Grande sorpresa fu il premio Oscar come miglior film ma la pellicola è ricordata per la famosa colonna sonora del greco Vangelis, che divenne in breve tempo una vera hit.
